Mon 26 & Tues 27 July 2010
We spent all day on anchor and on the boat because it was a bit too windy to lower Muhu (our dinghy) into the water. We lazed around to recover from the trip from Mooloolaba. The time was well spent arranging Saaremaa's luxury indoor shower facility ie, a shower curtain hung from hooks in the head, a large red plastic bucket and the deluxe model pump garden spray pack.
Using this set up our first indoor showers were achieved for a sum of 3.5 litres of water for both of us. You cannot get much greener than that. One has to enjoy a curtain cuddle as there is not much room in the bucket for the curtain and a body.
Another great first for Saaremaa is achieved!!
Two clean bodies.
Note the tasteful colour combinations of shower curtain, bucket and pump pack that are all harmonised together for that total 'Better Boats & Gardens' look!?!??
Winkali arrived in the late afternoon and anchored further out towards the channel.
Michael's great idea to up anchor and move to a more protected spot proved a less than great idea as we passed over shallows of 1.4m thus deciding to abandon the plan and were hit by a squall of rain just before we re-anchored at the spot we left 30 minutes before. It was OK Anne stayed dry below as Michael whipped off the jeans to keep them dry.
Another lovely sunset with the Inskip Barge finishes the day.
Where are the photos of the nice clean bodies? Not that we do not believe you.....
